Public & Patient Involvement
Public and patient involvement is an essential component to the design and conduct of clinical research in the NHS. The NCRI Clinical studies groups have consumer representation for each tumour site group and collectively form the Consumer Liaison Group. Across the SCRN there are several local initiatives to involve the public and patients to seek their perspective on different aspects of research including trial design, information provision, engagement in research and strategic decisions. To find out what is happening in your local network contact the SCRN Manager.
*We are currently seeking new members for the Consumer Research Panel based at the Beatson West of Scotland Cancer Centre. Further information can be found in the role description*
